Moving forward deciding which direction and what to mock up. I tried different variations with type, and rendering methods.
For this idea I illustrated a pattern of band-aids on the actual package, while wrapping it with bubble wrap to get at the idea of protection. This will be the directions that I'm moving forward with Pathos, but I need to bring some new elements to it. I need to have a different idea of what the bubble wrap is protecting, so maybe bringing in some old ideas about what band-aids could protect. So i'll be writing a list of things that need protection, or that could get protected by bubble wrap?
Here are some different ideas and color schemes for the idea of fixing things that kid would fix with a band-aid. The pattern in the background is supposed to show that there are assorted sizes within the package, and the shapes of what may be found in that specific box. For the teddy bear, I may bring into the idea of having bubble wrap around it.
For my last idea, Band-aids being the protector, such as a fence can protect a lot of things from getting inside that area. I like the last one best out of these because it's simple, but the band-aids aren't as detail as I'd like them to be. I felt the red was appropriate because of the idea of band-aids covering up scrapes where blood is involved.

Progress: more thumbnails
From this idea, I am going to explore Pathos for this week, and my three directions are with bubble wrap, the series with fixing things (i.e. a teddy bear, or bike tire) and the series with protecting things (i.e. a house, a fence, and a tank).

NA: Logo storyboard
Color and none color. I decided to go with the white background for it to be more versatile for color and different textures in the ditto part. Also, I'm not sure if this five frame storyboard is hard to tell, because I feel there are so many other steps in between, but maybe that was so it could be more simple as a whole.
NA: Logo Animation
Here are some ideas for my logo build, Ditto. Talking to some classmates about them, they thought it would be a good idea to maybe include more than one idea into two...because a lot of my ideas were quite simple.
For the one I am planning on working further on I'm intertwining the idea of the of the stitching into the final logo, but also making it very up close and abstract by it following the line throughout the handwritten text. We'll see how it goes.

Ditto: Logo
Here is some logo process. I turned in a logo earlier into Tyler, and it had a rough texture on it, because I wanted to maybe elude to the idea of it being handmade, but I further explored it being a vector piece because it could be a cute, clean cut and uneven look.

NOW:
I'm definitely favoring the second one because of the clean cut line, but it still looking hand written becuase of the uneven t's and different line strokes.
Here is also a version with a texture/color inside.

Process, some idears.
With these studies, I was seeing how a box could fold and turn into many different things for the interaction after the band-aids were used. I thought of building a house, a city scape, and boat that goes under a bridge. If I could think about imagery that goes on the inside, as well as some instructions, I think that would be helpful.
Here I wanted to see if using the idea of thorns and band-aids in real life/size would work. There are some decent shots, but I think I need to find a little bit more of a rose bush than a rose stem growing out of the ground.
For this, Band-Aids and cement have a real relationship, so I wanted to see what the texture would look like with the band-aid's on it. While it being the red cross symbol/shape.
The same idea goes for this. Having the actual package as a picture I think would be interesting. I, of course would redesign the package that I would photograph.

Vis Lang Concepts, rendering methods, inspiration:
Bethany and I sat aside and discussed some of our initial ideas and methods we were interested in doing, while the other had helped while giving some other idea.
Pathos
-Antithesis
-Using photography
-Collage
-An idea of using bubble wrap for protection around the box. Or photos of bubble wrap, or using the rubbing effect on bubble wrap.
-Interactive box.
- MAKE IT PATHOS THOUGH
- peel the front cover off and having a message on the back, or showing the band aid
- Take apart the box to build a house which equals protection.
- Use Reptition to really show the reinforcment.
- Stitching
- Canned package to show the old tarnish look
- Home sick?
- Write a story about being home, or a connection to band-aids in a different way.
- Bikes ?
- Pulling the band-aid off of a cut on the package (interactive)
Ethos
- Woven band-aids (photography)
- Minature ambulace and photoshop on band-aids
- Word List
- Hyperbole
- Pun with red cross and ambulance
- Hand Writtin type
- Band aid written type
- Blue ribbon band-aid
- Hand-made ribbon idea
- Dam of band-aids. (holding the river of fluid back)
-"Using the placebo effect since 1920"!
Logos
- Putting an actual band- Aid on the package
- Interactive- No cute saying and just using the band-aid as a pulling idea.
- Photography
- Band-Aid framing technique
- Band-Aid text
- San-serif text
- Constructivist poster idea
-"Healing"
- matter of fact imagery

Vis Lang Concepts.
Concepts for Johnson and Johnson Band-aids
Ethos:
-Using the United States shape to show that the band-aids are rated number one.
-Making a ribbon/winning ribbon out of band-aids
-Making words would of band-aids.
- Red Cross idea
-Ambulance
Pathos:
-Making the box interactive in some way.
-"Pull", "Put a band-aid on it!"
- Connection to childhood, and Grandma's.
- Using Antithesis with Pattern
- Using Antithesis within one image.
- Being upset about being hurt.
Some suggestions to move forward.
-Think of other things that could be used for band-aids besides cuts, think deeper.
-Interaction! Look at all the way a box can fold and unfold.
- Copy-writing. Make it my own.
-Use words only when necessary. Don't overly repeat yourself.
- Try and push away from obvious while moving on with these concepts.
- Make a lot of simple descriptive words with band-aids.
-PROTOTYPE!

NA: Project 5,FINAL
Here it is, with frames and everything.
I wanted to emphasize the process by putting an ornate very feminine frame to it. I decided to mimic the screen printing line to make a similar, but different line for the photots.
